The collection of the departmental library consists of approximately twenty-five thousand books. An important part of those are architectural monographs about contemporary and twentieth century architects. Also theory and history of architecture and urban planning are represented equally.
The departmental library has current subscriptions to the vast majority of interesting, western serials on the culture of architecture, on contemporary art, and on construction techniques. Also entire volumes of historically important serials from the twentieth century, both national and international, can be consulted upon request. serials portfolio, including information on their storage
The books, serials, databases and master dissertations owned by the Departmental Library of Architecture and Urban Planning are included in the UGent Aleph catalogue. The library code is TW01 (to be ticked at ‘location’ option).
